Built by a Designer Who Was Tired of the Same Broken Process
GetSet was founded by production designer Emma Magidson after years of living the same sourcing problems the platform now solves.
It began with a simple conviction: art departments deserve software designed around the way they actually work.
The problem was personal
Emma started as a shopper and grew into production design. On every project, sourcing meant the same maze of prop house websites, screenshots, spreadsheets, emails and late-night deck building.
The creative work depended on an enormous amount of manual coordination. The tools were generic because no one had built a system specifically for this industry.
Built from real production workflows
GetSet brings search, project organization, vendor outreach and presentation exports into one place. Each part comes from a task the team had already performed under real deadlines.
The goal is not to automate taste or replace the relationships that make production work. It is to remove the repetition around them so designers can spend more time designing.
